how did you find me ?

2025.08.10

Staggered out of bed at 7am after nearly 14 hours of sleeping. Shuffled to Washington Square Park to see Evan and Grayson and get the last NOAA-15 satellite transmission before its decommission this coming Tuesday. Had some issues with the new antenna, but the home rig did the trick. Final image was a bit noisy, but hey, that's how I like it. Sensed Evan has a thing for me. But, he doesn't live in reality, you know. He's unemployed, living with his ex-girlfriend, dumpster-diving and attending animal rights protests. No, thank you. Still, I'm glad he was there to buffer me from Grayson, who is a typical nice-guy autist incel-lite. No, thank you, too.

There was this hungover girl who wandered over needing a man's phone to contact her friends. She was super messy. She had gone drinking all night, her boyfriend broke up with her and then she lost said phone. Rather than using her brain to get home, she went full pick-me mode for male validation. Add in the plastic, make-up, clothes and her demeanor, it was pretty humiliating to watch. She doesn't deserve the treatment she gets, because no one does, but she is extremely desperate and thus, easy to manipulate, which makes her a huge target. It's really sad. I hope she figures it out and lives. No doubt, this is trauma / conditioning at work.

After, went to Grayson's and climbed up the fire escape to adjust the radio antenna setup he had made. Took the time to tell him his antisocial antics were peak moronic and dangerous. Yes, rather than speaking to his neighbors about his project and accessing the roof safely, he literally stood outside someone's window punting bricks into a hotel's backyard. What a fucking idiot, it's unbelievable. I'd have called the police on his dumbass if I had been the woman who saw him. At least he looked ashamed after I tore him a new one instead of saying he was cool, which seemed to be what he was expecting or hoping for. No way. Grow some social capacities.

I climbed back down the fire escape as I didn't trust our combined weight on it. Hung out in the sun, which felt really nice. Afterwards, got lunch and ice cream with the guys and sat in Cooper Triangle with the pigeons. Again, got the sense Evan was interested. He suggested I do a fake marriage to stay in the US, then he said he had considered / is considering selling one himself. NO, thank you. Talk about not understanding me at all. One of the important ways for women to remain safe is to have financial independence. Aside from this, I enjoyed socializing with them, then left for Coney Island.

Enjoyed the train ride over, then just roasted in the hot, hot sand like a lizard. I wonder, if I can make it to California? I'd like to try.
